ADR Clinic

I’ve been mediating cases through Lubbock’s Office of Dispute Resolution. ADR is pretty much non-court-resolution of an issue. Mediation is pretty much the parties coming to their own agreement (or not) with the help of a mediator.

Acting as a mediator has been very interesting. It seems like a lot more comes out in mediation than would otherwise come out in court. Also, it’s nice to see parties create their own resolution, rather than having the court come down with something that both parties might dislike.

I look forward to mediating more cases while in law school, and to continue to mediate cases once a practicing attorney.
